To be clear here it’s not facebook’s satellite. They are just leasing space on the IAI and Israeli government’s amos 6 satellite for 5 years. You can bet that facebook didn’t fund the dev cost of the satellite or most of the construction period.

Why not turbo?

You often don’t have as much control over the exposure in that video frame. You tend to use a different shutter speed for stills vs video making it hard to get certain looks.
