this writer doesn’t want to be right

I agree with the pointlessness of melee weapons.

Look, we all agree that glowing swords look awesome, but can we as a society just admit that even if the future (or any random space setting somehow always designed to be both futuristic and feudal) had any vested interest in maintaining melee weapons instead of ranged weapons or drones, there would be no point to maki

I think it’s more like people who get regular rain don’t deal with this kind of thing.

At this price (and I say it as someone that lives just outside of the Buffalo area) it should have zero rust, the headlights shouldn’t be starting to fog/haze, and it better have $3k sitting on the hood.

I agree, rust seems like a repair area; the underside for a NE car looks fine. Just too much money. $10k and I’d be in (I don’t pay BMW name tax). I’m cheap and don’t much care for comps. Because others are jumping off a price cliff, doesn’t make me want to follow.

Ferrari of Theseus...

Again with the ‘boomers’?  Dude - get a hobby.  The fixation is kinda troubling.

It’s like if, instead of replacing each board of the ship of Theseus one at a time, they just used the whole thing for firewood and then built a new ship using the hardware they dug out of the ashes.

The chassis ID of that Ferrari sold for $1.9M. The scrap metal they tossed in for free. It has LONG passed the point where you can make a brand new one of these from scratch for less than it costs to buy one in good condition, but without that all-important chassis ID, it’s not a Ferrari (and Ferrari will sue your ass

I loathed this era of severely squared-off rooflines, but if it doesn’t bother you, here’s a livable runner that’s unique enough for your local C&C for less than $5K. Easy NP.

Sadly, $5k is the new $2k. reluctant NP

Doesn’t it seem like the fans who quit Doja were the ones wise enough to leave the table, though? The ones who don’t care if she insulted them would be the crazier ones...

She should be thankful he did it.  If this officer wouldn’t have thought of doing it this way she’d probably be dead right now.

I’m no blue lives matter type who thinks cops can do no wrong, but this seems like a reasonable response in this situation. Seems like it could have ended much worse for all involved had they taken a different approach.

The argument also seems to ignore the fact that the EU and China have EV targets that are around the corner. Those countries alone account for 2 billion people in the world. How someone can ignore that and claim it’s a fad makes it sound like this article was written by someone’s crazy uncle at a thanksgiving dinner.

It’s also just a vast misunderstanding on how EV batteries degrade. at 8-10 years the battery will have about 80% of it’s original capacity by most manufacturer standards. the 15-20 year range is for when the manufacturer thinks a buyer SHOULD replace the battery but is not actually required. The battery will just

This point was valid 5 years ago, but a lot has changed since then, and it’s only going to change more in another 5 years.

Dear God, please let it be piano black interior trim.

Cars with a manual transmission sadly. Its getting harder and harder to find a car with a stick.
