Your grasp on the use of ellipses is about as strong as your grasp on reality.
It really is galling how few people on either side of the aisle are aware of the fact that oil has dropped more than 20% from the peak while gas prices dropped less than 10% and are now heading back up. Or when gas prices did peak, eclipsing the nominal record highs set back in 2008, oil was much cheaper than it was…
I don’t think this would be for a round trip ticket, just a one-way to start a new life. Like what the colonists did in the 1600s when they got rid of most of their possessions in Europe and left on a boat for the USA. Due to it being prohibitively expensive to go back, it would be a permanent move for most.
I’m most amused at the suggestion to take out a loan for a one-way ticket to a new life on Mars. First, what bank would lend you money when you’re LITERALLY leaving to another planet and otherwise because, why the hell not arrive on Mars already in debt?
still a land barge. It may stop, go and corner better but its a tone of mass to sling around. At half the price it might creep in to WTF money but I would regret it about a month after the purchase because I would have had all the “fun” I could get out of it.
I know it’s been said a million times, but it’s commonplace in countries like China and Japan for people to wear masks when on public transportation.
We’re on our own now in this pandemic and future pandemics. My advice is to always mask up on planes and trains. I won’t give a shit if I’m the only passenger doing it. I know what works. Masks were never a punishment. I feel awful that we let them feel like a punishment. Masks let us go out and live our lives while a…
I’ll be fair to the other commenters and admit that I misread the meaning of your first sentence as well. I was able to sort out your intent due to this not being an old post, but I initially read it as “I’ll say what I want here, because nobody will ever read it.”
That’s really an accessibility-in-design issue. If you can get to them without taking a bunch of stuff apart, modern headlight bulbs are easier to replace than old sealed-beams. Often they don’t require any tools. The old round lights almost always required a screwdriver.
I wasn't ready for this interpretation of "ran when parked"
What kind of barbarian writes his ad copy on his phone and posts it by uploading a screenshot from his phone? And at the end of the photo list, no less? You’re writing it, why not put it where it belongs?
I like the idea of this car a lot better than I actually like this car. I have a hard time seeing $4500. As someone else noted, he also listed it for $3750. If he would take $3k, I’d probably give him a reluctant NP for this market
In this market theres no such thing as a $500 car. If it runs it’s at least 2 grand.
I’m much closer to #2. Anyone that had a 3800 knows what a monster they are. But without a mustache, I just can’t buy it.
Jalopnik typos are low hanging fruit, but I commend the execution
That is very handsome! The builder of this truck did a mighty fine job. It very much looks like something that could have come from the factory.
