Boats are way more expensive than you’re describing. In my experience, people are NOT choosing these boats instead of camping-unless if by camping you mean a Class A RV. Almost no one is in these waters with a $1k “yacht” without spending another $5-$15k making it seaworthy, and a mid-market 40' yacht is easily closer…
