You might be missing the point of the comparison. Horses were the primary means of transportation at one time in history. Gentlemen were assessed by their equestrian skills. Clever, but no. Way back in the before times, solid runners were worth $2k. It may not be done in the best taste, but everything at this price point has essentially the same flavor. This thing is almost a steal

I do get the appeal of fun cars, but a Jeep is not optimized for the kind of fun most people use it for.
