Thanks! That was really neat!

Gotcha. Sorry about that.
From what I’ve read about the scene, I think you’re right. It’s just a editing decision that gives Colin Firth’s scenes a very rapid pace, slightly unnatural feel that is quite stylish. As cool as it is, it’s definitely different from the other action sequences in the movie. Like the Lancelot one here.
I have watched several clips of the filming of the church scene. The cameraman was right there filming in the middle of the action, sweating and puffing trying to keep up, and it seemed like real-time action to me. If they sped up the motion, it was very, very little. However, it does seem to me the pub brawl motion…
My God yes. That church scene has easily some of the best choreography and even better some of the best camera work I’ve ever seen. The camera work in that entire movie was just stellar.
Church fight was my favorite of the year and Kingsman was the best Bond film of the year too.
Loved every bit of it.
The scene in Kingsmen is what cemented it as a favorite. The frenetic, tight cinematography is what makes that scene amazing. It also is a true demonstration of what these guys are really capable of, after a small peek at the bar.
I’m sorry your life is so sad.
When I heard the premise for Kingsman, I thought, “Eh, dumb Bond ripoff, next” Then I heard and read reviews saying that it was not to be missed and thought, “Yeah but Colin Firth and Action, naw.” Went into watching it looking for a reason to say how stupid it was and never found one. The Church scene shocked the…
Yeah, that was a really nice way to close it!
It goes so well with Freebird too.
Came here to mention the church scene from Kingsman. I hadn’t seen the movie, but heard it was pretty good. Putting together my daughter’s toybox for Christmas and put it on in the background on HBO. I happened to turn it on just a minute before that scene started. I just sat there and stared mouth agape for what felt…
I enjoyed the bar scene more too, especially since it also worked as a closing scene for Eggsy.
Watched Kingsmen this weekend, that was movie was such a surprise and I was cackling all the way through the scene listed, totally agree with the ranking. Cannot wait to see what they do with a sequel!
Kingsman ruled, actually. It was absolutely insane. When friends have asked me about it, I’ve described it as “if Quentin Tarantino were for some reason allowed to direct a Bond movie.”
Kingsmen doesn’t take itself seriously, in any way. It’s a surprisingly violent movie (which the trailers don’t, or rather, can’t show) but is also very tongue-in-cheek, if not campy. To use one word to describe it: enjoyable. It won’t make anyone’s favorite of all time lists, but I’m sure most people would leave with…
Kingsmen is simply fantastic so long as you’re willing to entirely suspend any sense of disbelief. There’s a fight scene in the middle, scored to Freebird, that is one of my favorite scenes ever.
Kingsmen was fun
Kingsman was very fun and had style in spades, so I’d go with that.
