Yeah, lukewarm response in wide release, no massive fandom movement. I’m about as big a Romy & Michelle head as you’ll find in nature, and I would be SHOCKED if a sequel made it to production. 

Romy and Michele made $29 million on a $20 million budget, so it probably came in at a loss after marketing. So, it’s not that surprising it didn’t get a sequel.
