Much like John Hascall said above, it is almost always a management issue. But I’ve had to deal with far too many developers claiming “the hold-up is with testing” as opposed to “the hold-up is that testing keeps finding bugs/issues with my software.”

It always blows my mind that so many developers still fail to stress test systems like these. It was obviously going to be inundated with an overwhelming amount of data/users. This is some amateur hour bullshit.
