I know it makes sense given the lack of muffler and all the talk but I didn’t truly believe reviews or reports until I heard one in person. Hype about movies let me down and I figured the same thing for this little beast. The only time I did see one I was at a light with my windows down when the distant BRAAAAAAP

FIAT has already confirmed an Abarth version is on the way. You’re not going to get that with a Miata. The current 1.4 Turbo sounds amazing and was already co-designed by Ferrari anyway... it can handle heavy-stress mods. I would rather take the FIAT any day.

I think so. The Fiat 500 Abarth gains about 30-40hp just with an ECU tune, not even any aftermarket parts. This one shouldn’t be any different.

And all that early torque!

Yep. Great tuning options available for this engine platform. I’m running the EuroDrive 1.1+ tune on a ‘13 Abarth, and the impact on performance is amazing.

I back the motor in this. Fiat/Abarth took their time with this 1.4 turbo. Its seriously a strong little shit, some people on the forums have done routine preventative maintence and have done 100k with no issues yet.

I was thinking about my reply to this article, it was going to go something like “For the same money I would rather have a well restored 69ish boat-tail Spider” but then I read about the engine and stopped. The same engine as the 500 Abarth makes it all worth it. Best sounding 4-cyl since the fabled Lampredi 4’s.

It buzzes along getting reasonable fuel economy and carries stuff. Americans age 50-75 love appliances. They are why we cannot have nice

First task as boss: Book a race at COTA.

Doesn’t the 3-series badge take care of that?

It isn’t the smallest, but I will take every opportunity available to post a picture of a Gee Bee-

I did the most novel thing. I woke up after the race had ended, stayed off twitter and Jalopnik, and watched the race on the DVR. And guess what... nothing was spoiled. How easy was that?

what a bunch of left wing rubbish.
