That could be a best-case scenario, since that would let them tell a newer story while still plastering Kratos all over the box for branding. And once the new hero builds some recognition they’ll be able to squeeze a few more games out of him.

Given the lessening sympathy I had for Kratos as the games went on, I would be open to a God of War game in which Kratos was the target.
