At some point this kills my internet, too. If I move too quickly, it seems to get saturated and stops loading even the thumbnails for a minute or two, making navigation useless. In any case, these make me try to move faster than they autoplay, which sucks

You can’t do something stupid to get mocked, then cry about being mocked. You did it for that purpose.

I ditched The Walking Dead the season with the eyepatch guy. The governor? It was interesting but flawed in the short Season 1, but with Season 2 I began hate watching it. It had potential, but it was just so stupid, with such unlikeable characters never growing.

Edge of Tomorrow is one of my favorite movies, but man, that third act just kind of sucks. I can rewatch it endlessly, until the structure changes and it moves into the final act, then I mostly just turn it off.

You’re crazy if you think that this is considered anything but a failure internally. This was the biggest thing they had, and it showed diminishing returns.

Truth, except I didn’t so much want to be a fighter pilot as a kid that stole a fighter jet to do with whatever I wanted, and was lauded as a hero for it rather than imprisoned.

Amazing how many of us had that response. I love Loren Bouchard, and Bob’s is a top 5 all time show for me, but with Josh Gad I’ll wait for great word of mouth. No way am I watching a Josh Gad show without huge reassurances.

Love the side view, but hate the front end. Buick still has the worst grills, and the combined grill and headlights just look 2008 to me.

Police are too overwhelmed? We have a thoroughly militarized police force now, complete with Armored Personnel Carriers. Does anyone actually feel the police is too overwhelmed to handle violent crime these days? I’m not even asking from my perspective, this is just an argument I have not heard since the early 90s.

Was going to say the same. Either the restaurant is screwing the staff or the staff isn’t thinking hard enough about what the 2% actually is and undervaluing CC tips.

Uproxx contributors hate Mike, but man, he’s the best. Only reason I go there, and kind of the only reason I went most of the places he was prior. But he’s doing far less of the things I liked best from him (running journals, 24 questions.)

I love this setting and could easily watch an entire series set in it.

Or it would be cheesy, overly saccharine, try too hard to manipulate you, and star someone like, I don’t know, Brendan Frasier in a role that was 75% him bringing gravity and 25% him overselling the zaniness. Clear Oscar bait put together by incompetent people who don’t understand humans, and starring a guy that can…
