Pretty certain Schilling doesn’t believe in evolution, either, so... yeah, I agree with OSR. If we have to vote a retired pitcher off the planet, he’s my first pick.

This is, what, the 50th RL Stine video in the past 6 weeks?
Sponsored Posts used to be in the stream once, and in the carousel for a while. Now they’re in the stream forever.
That’s the thing, though - the stuff we’re interested in has largely dried up. Or, at the very least, become undiscoverable. But I’m pretty certain that AVClub is paying way less for content and doing far less with freelancers and, as a result, we have very little content worth reading.
At least this video doesn’t include the guy from Stern Pinball. I fully expect 40 more videos from that guy over the next 40 days, because AVClub just stretches out content.
I thank the gods every day that you’re still here and there are still well-reasoned, well-thought out, correctly snarky, and adequately nerdy articles buried amongst the squattie potty sponsored posts, deals on sound bars, one-a-day videos interviewing the same person for an entire month, and lack of weirdo…
“My job was to get traffic!” is a weak excuse. Trainwrecks pushing bad ideas can almost always get traffic in the immediate, but weaken the overall image of the publication as a whole.
Fuck your priorities
1990 Faith No More had some good ones, because 22ish year old Mike Patton just didn’t care about anything. I guess older Mike Patton doesn’t, either. I love how he just ends Epic and checks his watch
It needed to be much earlier, as it broke the pace right as the pace was really starting.
Given how much everyone hated Episode 7, and given how stereotypical and cliched the test subjects feel, I doubt it. Again, I don’t use the Heroes reference lightly, and don’t think anyone has any interest in Netflix recreating that terrible show.
Honestly, Stranger Things should have gone anthology. Different government buildings doing different experiments having different impacts on the community around them. The Upside Down wasn’t super interesting in the first place, and diving deeper into it made it worse. Plus, it took about 6 episodes for anything to…
He started turning around before then, when he started showing true remorse for his actions and clearly had some kind of conscience.
Exactly. For the most part, people do it to remember things. Then they can scroll through their Instagram timeline and go “oh man, I forgot how good that burger at this place was!”
Who are the amateurs using flash on food?
I find it hard to criticize Melania here. She addresses the dinosaur’s head, then acts surprised when the kid responds from the neck. She seems to be playing along, and it’s kind of funny. I mean, nothing is too funny when we consider who she is, but what she’s doing here doesn’t seem incorrect or worth poking fun at.
That just feels so unnecessary. His whole thing felt unnecessary. Hell, when his parents finally showed up, my girlfriend and I both said “wait, they have parents?” There was build up to something (which likely would have felt shoehorned in), but then nothing, other than an abusive father. I get this may be laying…
A name no one needs to know the correct spelling of, much like we don’t need to correct a misspelled Stephanie Meijer.
Holoseum. Just a conversion kit for Time Traveler.
He’s a very unnecessary complication that adds no depth or intrigue. That’s about it. He doesn’t show a new side to any existing characters, or bring more color or understanding to new ones. He just kind of gets confusing screentime and, if all his scenes were removed, not a single other scene would be confusing,…
