All the comparisons to the Raptor and TRX, but not a single mention of the Tremor, which is the true competitor. You got base off road packages with the FX4/ Trail Boss/ Rebel, then the Tremor/ ZR2, topped off with the Raptor and TRX

I always forget that Lincoln exists in these conversations, despite that potentially being the best answer.

I love it, but I can’t get past the clutch-based transfer-case. I understand these modern trucks have systems in place to prevent damage, but losing 4wd in the middle of a difficult obstacle is annoying at best, unsafe at worst.

This would be A $1,400/month payment... So why do I know I’m about to see them parked in the employee spots of Verizon stores

This certainly wasn’t the most interesting thought experiment but I did learn some things; I wasn’t aware that the Defender was available as a hybrid, and I didn’t realize that a hybrid Cayenne was actually somewhat reasonably priced (for a luxury SUV).

The train can’t stop in time.

As long as car collectors, V6 muscle car dudebros, Instagram influencers, car YouTubers, and Jay Leno get to keep that glorious noise, I don’t think anyone will care.

But seriously, in a world increasingly trying (and mostly unsuccessfully) transitioning to carbon-neutral, this may become revolutionary for cold weather

A couple of people got hurt, which, at least by many typical measures, is unfortunate”.

My brother, just bought a hard to get Ford Maverick Lariat Hybrid last night. He ordered it a year ago.

Pass! It’s been in an accident. A pretty bad one, too. Severe enough that it knocked the steering wheel over to the passenger side!

That also makes the low miles on this 1992 RX-7 all the more impressive: the 1.3-liter twin-turbo Wankel rotary engine has only 27,004 kilometers (16,780 miles) on the clock.

Those guys only just got sick days.  I don't perceive their safety as being any kind of priority for their employers.

You never, ever take an oversize load over a railroad track unless you have adequate space on the other side to get clear. If necessary you ask law enforcement to stop traffic so you can cross or turn onto a road to gain the necessary clearance. The trucking company is in a world of hurt.

I feel like if you are moving something like that you need to coordinate with the railroad if a crossing is unavoidable.

if the truck driver was really just sitting there waiting for a green light doesn’t make him at fault? You have to be sure you can cross your entire vehicle before attempting to cross any kind of intersection right?

When we bought my wife CPO Accord they put the screws on us to finance finally I said screw it and we did; came back the next dat with a check; the F and I guy got all in our face saying we had to do the financing; it was fun to watch my Lawyer wife educate him on the Laws of California and what the State penalties

Getting surprise-laid off with my 944 engine split in half probably takes the cake here. After months of being told “oh, no, you guys are safe, there should be no further cuts,” welp, I’m the one who got cut in the middle of doing some cylinder head work.

They will just pack a shipping container full of them and send them somewhere nobody cares?

Wow, that's two stupid takes in as many sentences
