Kinda funny that all these critiques normally reserved for luddites are are now made by the people in support of the things. What a time to be alive.
There’s got be some goofy compliance thing going on here. While these might make sense in Japan where the the national government is throwing their weight behind HFCV’s, there’s no economical reason to bring them here.
“Right to Repair is vital to consumers for keeping vehicles on the road longer.”
100x this. I don’t know if the big manufactures literally can’t make money on cheap EV’s, but they definitely can’t make enough money to keep the shareholders happy when they’re used to the margins on an F-150 King Ranch.
JFC, these things. When I was little, my best friend’s dad was an optometrist, and they got a new one of these with each generation. I’m pretty sure they are still hanging onto the last one from 2013 or whenever they stopped making them.
Important of note for anyone planning to colonize Venus or Mercury!
“Or wrap it, but that seems contrary to buying a stainless truck.”
Oh dear god. Now every time I hear about a midwestern “Musky-Fest”, I’m going to imagine some kind of festival/convention of Musk fanatics.

They other big slice that’s more important are the ones strategically dropped right off the highway in nowhere towns at midpoints between major cities. The last one I did was in western IL, that was bridging the gap between Chicago…
Tesla is in no better place to “”abuse” this monopoly now than they were 5+ years ago. They had by far and away the best charging network before other companies started using NACS, and they still have it now.
I think it’s like SpaceX where there are some really sharp people running that side of the business and knows how to keep their distance from Elmo.
1st: For all the stupid that has gone at Tesla, the charging network is while I’ll never actively route for them to fail. Somebody at that company fundamentally understands the importance of building out a good charging network, and has convinced Elon its worth throwing tons of money at. The world is better off for…
I remember like a week after that change went live, somebody impersonated Eli Lilly and made the stock price take a hit for claiming that they would be cutting insulin prices. It’s all fun and games until you realize that *checks notes* institutional investing cannot be bothered to do the cursory check for legitimacy…
1. The Toyota Tax exists for a reason.
