And keeping with that same theme, they killed the Bolt and then frantically dug it back out of its grave again like 6 months later. Although to their credit, that’s the most pointed response we’ve seen to the problem of EV’s being too expensive.

Dammit, stole the joke. if you can’t live with the smaller seat, don’t worry, Boeing has a solution there too!

If this thing actually gets made, 95% of the sales will be to the retiring boomers in Florida that are already fighting like jackals over the few Murano CrossCabs that got made. Seriously, if you ever need a good laugh, look at what those things are changing hands for.

It kind of is. There isn’t really a way to keep this mold while also meeting modern safety standards, or at least without being prohibitively expensive.

What’s hilarious about these is that the Class-C motorhome market is the only thing keeping them around, even though you can still make such a thing out of Transit. And anyone whose driven both will tell you the Transit is zillion times better.

Oh, this is a good one. Granted, they are rock-solid reliable, but we don’t talk enough about how a very popular vehicle for sale in 2024 has a 5 speed auto.

If the other 2+ million Parisians couldn’t be bothered to vote on it, I think that speaks volumes to their sentiment on the issue. If nobody else cares, there’s no reason to not give the vocal minority what they’re asking for.

When I was an electrician, the old head that trained me said that they would just leave entire spools of cable energized overnight when they had a theft problem on a site. That would usually solve the problem.

It unquestionably does, but it’s probably a higher priority with BEV’s because the traditional way of adding range (adding storage capacity) comes at a steeper price with BEV’s than ICE’s. Both in terms of literal cost, and efficiency loss of making the car that much heavier.

Thank you! I’ve been taking flak throughout my 20's for wearing this outfit to bars, although the t-shirt is usually graphic in some nature. Figure I might as well lean into it.

I went back and found it, and the only thing the article referenced was demand being down for this entire model line. The interceptor must be propping the whole model line up, I guess.

I don’t even disagree with the sentiment, but by god am I tired of hearing about it.

There was a stretch last year where I swear they weren’t going out until noon.

There was a story on here awhile back that they were shifting all of the production capacity for hybrids on this platform to the police interceptors. I think they don’t have the resources to meet the demand for that market as well as for the Aviator/Explorer. Although I don’t know if that’s strictly an issue with

It’s probably me. I did not come of age in the grunge era, so I don’t have a good idea of what is and isn’t obscure. Everybody else born in the mid 90's just thinks I’m insane for listening to any of it.

big ups for not going to the more obvious grunge reference: Rats by Pearl Jam.
