I haven’t seen much difference between elite college grads and people that went to non-elite schools, other than attitude maybe.  I kinda think “smart” is vague and overrated anyway

I don’t mind this call. The gloating is dumb.

I wondered the same. Found this digging in the links in the article:

Yeah I’m with her on the message but I don’t see how correcting this would make congress function any better.  Firefighters and teachers probably in the same boat as staffers but I just get the sense no one cares enough to do anything.  At least staffers can probably leave and make dough b/c of their experience.

if he were catching a pass and had his head down or looking back I would agree that he could’ve been lit up, and it’d be an overly aggressive but legal hit, but the puck wasn’t even near him.

I can’t remember, how did people react to Robert Downy Jr in Tropic Thunder?  I just remember Tom Cruise as the best part of that one.

I interpreted the republican rationale to be that even if Kav did it, it was so long ago and wasn’t bad enough to outweigh his experience on the bench etc. I always wonder if Kav would have responded differently if he had been confronted about this years ago. And if he’d been questioned or arrested as a teen, there

Yeah, people only seem to care when someone runs for office. What if the politician come out first and said she was abused by the ex, how this story read?

Kavanaugh is a raging alcoholic now or was when the Ford thing happened?

I don’t want him seated, but would this be any different if he had apologized to her 15 years ago? I think the left would still say it matters and the right would still say it doesn’t.

I feel like asking repeatedly is so common in all other areas of life that it seems kinda normal. I wish no one asked for anything more than once or had to say no more than once. Kids ask for toys until their parents cave, salespeople call you over and over until you cave, I have to pester people endlessly at work them

weak beats all around...I’d watch that debate, but politicians usually just spew talking points instead of real answers anyway.

This and the fact that it seems so many people describe themselves as overly competitive makes me wonder. Are they the type-A people who lose it if they get a B on an exam or have to be #1 in sales, but then in a co-ed league they’re cool with not playing hard? Also seems like there’s not enough leagues for people who

I’d like to read more stories like yours that tell why people take such risks. Most stories just skip to the part where immigrants end up at the border. I think this would open eyes. Also, does Mexico, Guatemala etc. do anything to stop its people from leaving or improve conditions so people won’t want to leave? These

Why does it seem like being a bully or an a-hole is how a lot of people end up super rich and successful

Panel actually seems pretty full of well credentialed people
