Chandler plus guns is probably the most accurate three word summary of 90s action movies.

70's action formula-

This is still the only movie I’ve ever seen where I felt like “3D” actually added anything to the experience of watching the movie.

I’m thinking less action movies, and more adventure-comedy for kids. Think Jumanji, Small Soldiers, Inspector Gadget (but not shit like the last one). All those movies were kids or a family get saddled with something weird going on and then they have to solve the hijinks with the help of funny adults. The trailers

The trailer did give me a 90s movie vibe, namely of “young characters gets superpower/superpet/etc from mysterious source, family hijinks ensue”, but for the life of me I can't tell you which specific movies I'm reminded off. There is just a familiarity to it I can't fully pinpoint.

The character will be in upcoming projects. Just like Peacemaker.

Saints Row IV

Totally agreed. Modern Trek is Star Trek without the soul of Star Trek. It makes me sad, because that’s what separated Star Trek from any other franchise.

This is also why physical copies of entertainment media (TV shows, movies, music, video games, etc.) are going away: the IP owners can control access to their digitized formats in order to resell the same shit to people who already bought them before in perpetuity.

99% of the audience of the Spider-Man movies has no clue about, or any interest in whatever is happening in the Spider-Man comic books.

Um, Actually you didn’t include “Um, Actually”

Oh I absolutely understand preferring Hot Fuzz! And I actually watched an analysis video on youtube just the other day that highlighted a few things I’d missed even in half a dozen viewings, so I really do think my opinion could change next watchthrough. I think I just felt Shaun was ‘purer’, if that makes sense? The

Yarp.

Probably my favourite Nick Frost performance, full stop.

Hot Fuzz is best, Shaun of the Dead is a close second, and while The World’s End is in third, for me, it’s still an amazing movie. The film’s numerous choreographed fight scenes are worth the price of admission alone. I didn’t love the ending the first time I saw it, but I’ve grown to appreciate how ballsy it is.

This month marks the 10th anniversary of  The World’s End

I understand his reasons for selecting The World’s End as his favorite, but Hot Fuzz’s script is a masterpiece of structure and dialogue equaled by the performances of everyone in the movie.

Jambi, I wish for this to not be true.

He was RX-24 the pilot on the original Star Tours ride, and was also a Trimaxion robot pilot, aka Max, on the Disney film Flight of the Navigator. Won’t forget him..
