There’s a few things going on here. Mopar keeps it in production for a few specific reasons, which one is to keep an economical option for fleet buyers or even as a full-size option in the mid-size price range of the its competition.

Everything about this thing is freaking awesome. Not just because of the jalopy-ness of it, but because its existence and continued success basically implies that the functionality of 1/2-ton trucks as hasn’t actually needed to improve in like 15 years. 

Who doesn’t wish other automakers would do the same, and “re issue”  some of their old venerable models. Good, basic and cheap is badly needed. 

This also means a steady flow of parts for the model. Really, as long as sales cover costs for the model, regulations are met and there are other options for those who prefer new designs, there are no downsides! 

I can’t be the only one who thinks this is kind of awesome, right? Isn’t this basically peak-Jalop? Buying the cars of yesteryear that we claim to pine for, but also with a warranty?

The painfully real part of her input this episode was that of a current abuse victim hoping to shift the target onto another one’s back. All that “don’t talk to me” shit was performative to curry favor with Roy (who I’m sure maintains enough reserve cruelty that it won’t really work).

Agreed, and I hope the next two weeks make the time we have put into watching this season worthwhile. Watching a good season of Fargo makes me nostalgic for the “good ol’ days” of watching a favorite show during the course of 8-9 months and looking forward to a new episode every week.

As I was watching that, I had a feeling Tillman would follow up “if you’re so smart” with “then why are you dead?”, but it was the addition of the word “so” that made it darkly hilarious. Graves isn’t just dead, he’s so dead.
