A major part of international trade is that some countries have a comparative advantage over others in producing a product than others, so it makes sense for countries to not try to produce everything internally. One can argue how that industrial base should be made up in any given country, but it takes time, effort,

California also blamed Texas for their grid problems several years back, but in that case, there was some Texas shananigans going on courtesy of Houston-based Enron.

Plus, actually planning, building, and getting up and running a factory in the US could take a big chunk of the four year term of office anyway, and I’m not sure how deep the appetite for tariffs goes beyond Trump in either party.

And for the moment, I can still get a manual on a Jetta.

My XT4 and my wife’s Nissan Rogue both have passenger-side fuel filler doors, as did the Jetta I had two cars ago (I actually don’t remember where my wife’s Tiguan’s was, but it was probably passenger-side), and I do prefer that even though I’ve not run out of gas in any of them. It’s only an issue is when there’s a

She’s too busy suing to keep ballot initiatives to legalize pot or affirm abortion rights from actually getting to a vote, suing other states for not voting the way she likes, and helping organize violent mobs to stop Congress from counting electoral votes. When my wife was a teenager (before she was my wife, obviously), she was pulled over on her Moped. The department sent FIVE patrol cars to assist in the stop and ticket writing.

Chevy is also making a Police version of their Blazer EV for 2025. And there are some departments that have used Mach-Es for police vehicles (as well as the mentioned F-150 Lightning). Dodge has even teased a Charger EV police cruiser, though there doesn’t seem to be firm plans on that yet.

I did get arrested once by a Texas DPS trooper in a Mustang. I got to sit up front, thankfully.

I would absolutely buy a ‘66 Batman Batmobile, though.

How dare you!

As a Gen-Xer who was 14 years-old when BTTF came out, I don’t get it, either.

The Equinox EV starts under $35k (or right at $35k with destination charges).

I think the Equinox EV is going to be a moderate hit for GM as long as they produce enough of the less expensively outfitted ones.

It’s 91 damn degrees outside in October, and you want me to expose my delicate sensibilities to an open air conveyance?
