In Texas, the rate paid for excess power is determined by the electric company you contract with. So, TXU pays jack, some pay the retail rate but limit you to the amount of your bill (or limit the size of the solar system) so you can have a $0 bill but not a negative one. Some rollover the excess in those plans and

I mean, there’s got to be something between ‘Heat’ or Walter White and what we got with this as far as crime shows go.

Turns out his name is Majordomo. And yes, he’s heard all the jokes.

I don’t know. I didn’t watch any of the toons, but I can gather enough from the show to get the gist of who these people are or what their stuff is. And if all they’re giving us is what they gave us, the gist is about all I need.

I used the cruise control when I used to travel a lot between my home and my parents (roughly 350 miles away) to make sure I didn’t speed given that the highway was lousy with speed traps. Don’t really have much use for it now that I mostly stick to suburban driving.

I kinda think this was sarcasm, but....

When I was in high school, I happened to find a really nice, long ice scraper, broom that was great for knocking the snow and stuff off the roof of my truck and fit perfectly behind the seat. I’ve only seen two in the wild so far where I live in Texas, but they are still difficult to get around here, too, and it seems they have many who have bought but not yet received.

I don’t particularly like that song, either.

Ronnie James Dio wanted to do the same thing, but his feet couldn’t reach the pedals.

Yeah. Sorry for replying to you instead of who I was really trying to reply to. In my defense, I’m old.

Somebody’s gotta pay to dismantle that bridge so Bezos’ yacht can get through.

In my state, 25% of the gas tax goes to schools so that state politicians could lower property taxes and look like anti-tax heroes.

Or distance to measure time, Han Solo.

Dallas, where the car ended up (which is a big question by itself), has had an ongoing issue without permission and without following the law. But even within the law, the tow companies can tow a car that is parked against the rules in a place they have a contract with without being notified ahead of time to come do

I’m not surprised to hear that Uncle Fester is racist given the shaved head and all.

I have known people who had power windows that stopped working, but it hasn’t happened to me yet. Four of my first five cars had crank windows (the only one that had power windows of that group I go used), and I’ve had at least two since then, though none since probably 1997.
