I was part of the WGA strike of 2008-2009 which the closest I’ve ever been to any kind of labor action, having grown up in a town in a right-to-work state with very little manufacturing (at the time. They’ve since added an aircraft plant) and a parent who was a self-employed medical professional.

True. Except for that if the car is worth what the residual plus remaining payments are, then it would be possible to trade out early.
