You're right. And I think part of the issue is probably the expectations I had on the way in. But yes, I've been moved by this, and yes, not in the way I wanted. However — this was kind of the point of owning the thing for a year. I definitely learned something.

The MR2 and the CRX placed number 1 and number 2, respectively, for "most fun" in Playboy's 1987 Best Cars. (The issue with Vanna White)

I have a 74 280 w114 and I'm pretty sure that car is going to outlast me. It was the Volvo 240 before the Volvo 240 was the Volvo 240. With a bullet proof selection of engines and timeless looks, as long as the rust stays away, all classic mercs will live on forever.

Wagon? Check.

I have never seen a bigger F.U. to trailer queens in my life. I love it, gimme more.

What do you think, is this forklift driver a mad genius or an evil villain?

Is an investment banker better than an orthodontist?

I'm actually about to try this with an S2000. Got my winter wheels and tires now just waiting for some snow.

AW11 on snow? RALLY ALL THE THINGS!

Hey I drive one! It's not that... bad.... maybe..........

I too had an MR2. Did RPM sweeps on the dyno with T-VIS locked in each position. Definitely lost some lower end torque with it locked open but not enough to scare me away from Webers.

Ive found that my MR-S has a habit of 'pivoting' more than it 'drifts'. It definitely feels different than FR, and as someone who steers with the throttle quite a bit, there was definitely an interesting adjustment period the first time I took the MR out for a spirited drive lol

Oh really? My fictitious miata is mid engined. I rotated my seat 180 degrees, have one forward gear and five reverse gears. You mad? ;)

Originally it was for homologation purposes. Just like the Roadrunner et. al. So that's the point of the WRX/STi, as to why still, yeah, you nailed it. Test drove one the other day and like the style or not, it's a damn nice car.

it doesnt even look like something you would take "rallying" at all.

Next question...

Had to research this a bit before deciding but all of the original Lotus built M100's currently for sale on Pistonheads are a lot less than this. If you want the steering wheel on the left side of the car a search of the French leboncoin site shows they are still less. Much closer to the 25 year mark for US import

I think it's the length of the nose that gets me. But in person it's not noticeable at all, and overall it's soooooooo much better than the smiley one. I love staring at ours in the garage. :)
