Brakes are not inboard. 13" are very efficient in size (low unsprung mass). They can make small brakes very very efficient, so the size doesn't make a huge difference there. I remember seeing a decade ago that F1 designers actually preferred the smaller wheel package. I imagine jumping up to 18" inches is just for

F1 can get away with using such small discs because the cars are very light, use incredibly heat tolerant materials for the braking surfaces, and 200 mph air forced through a tiny duct makes for effective cooling.

How about no power steering at all? In the last twenty years, the attitude seems to have become "Put power steering on every car, whether it needs it or not."

That's almost as complex as getting my girlfriend turned on.

This was posted on Oppo over a year ago so I demand that you give a proper hat tip or I'll quietly grumble to myself but not actually do anything!!!!1!!

...credibility?

We had to get it through Skoda UK via the Czech Republic because I couldn't get one here. Wasn't easy, but coming up is a Roomster Scout, an Octavia RS and a Superb.

By the way, trust me, I'll try to get all sorts of cars to review in the future, but it's not easy being in Europe but working for an American publication.

I think the AW11 MR2 is one of the most '80s cars, and Regular Cars does a fantastic job of explaining why.

You just don't get a good feel for how huge a Hind is until you see it being pulled behind the Ukranian version of a deuce and a half...

Truck is definitely a Ural 4320

My mum bought one when she was single and living in England. Red with a tan/plaid interior. The story is that my father was working a shift on base at the same place, saw the TR7 and asked who the British bastard was who owned that car. Out came my blonde-haired mum. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Agreed. As unfair as my juvenile rantings about this pair being hipsters are - I'm sure they are very nice people - they claim to have lovingly restored the Jeep and then state that there are easily rectifiable problems with it that they haven't bothered to fix. That ain't right.

Sometimes the allure to "get inside! get inside!" is just too strong. You don't care if she's been rode hard and put up wet on 5 different continents, you ignore her LSD problem, and wilfully dismiss the obnoxious appearance that only a mother could love. She's Japanese with an Italian name and a European upbringing,

During the production run of the Diablo, VW started a trend where all V12 models of theirs would have all-wheel drive. That was a good decision, since VW hates fun.

The world is so screwed up! Clarkson threatened with termination over something he did not say on a tape that was not aired. Well done A holes!

ORRRRLOOOOVE!!!!!!!

That was my thought. Only thing is, I'd keep the boat around for occasions when you wanted to drive past people trailering their own boats on the highway, making them think theirs had broken free and was making a run for the border.
