Thanks for that, i'm going to have to pop a drink soon i guess, and this sounds just perfect. There are only spirits around my place right now, but that's what you get when you move out of town for the summer.

Oh how nice of her, that's something I always wanted to try. Sharing with a friend can produce some of the best moments in ones life, so I will make sure to remember your good advice. And cheers.

No, i've never been to the states proper, although i was seen in Ontario and around England as well. But i never spent more than 4weeks abroad at a time, it's just that i studied and used English a lot already, also at one point i worked as a translator, and browse the English speaking interwebs all the time, stuff

That's even bigger a curse than the one i mentioned above. Because our market is so small we operate on a budget smaller than what TopGear spends on coffee breaks - so no chance of renting out road courses, or breaking stuff.

I work at a production company, and we produce, among others, a weekly motoring magazine. It so happens, that one of the mainstays of my job is producing this show, sometimes even filming and editing. So for all intents and purposes, i am a motoring journalist - as i guess some of you already know.

You know, in Europe there are quite a few compacts and crossovers that can do what the Countryman does and even drive better - for 50-70% of the price. The new Mini is cool because it looks and drives exceptionally funky, so you'll overlook the price, and the ridiculously small interior. But the Countryman is a

I'm really don't know that much about these things, but wouldn't it be easier to simply fit a tried and tested wrx/sti engine in place of the F20? Known issues, known results, more powerful BRZ with as little fuss as poss.

In my central European country it's probably the Seat Ibiza 1.2 At least that's something i certainly don't want to be seen dead in, and with 70 HP, cheap plastic interior and less-than-VW build quality, it does not have redeeming factors.

I like products, where you can feel that there is real thought behind the human-product interface. This is the reason behind my liking of Volvo: even the 740 feels like everything is right where it should be.

I've got pretty good taste in cars too. It's just that i don't have the means to express myself fully.

I'm really not that into Fezza ownership, given this kind of dough i would much rather it had a flat six on the other side of the rear axle. That said, these cars do look the part in person, and i happen to know a mechanic who knows these and can get it right in order, so NP it is.

So what about the 'race' series? (race07, race on, race injection, GTR Evo - they are the same game just with differing sets of cars & tracks)

I never really liked Opel, and this isn't just something from afar either, ten years ago i have inherited a '85 Kadett from my grandpa. You 'merricans would identify that car as a Pontiac Lemans, though i bet the Lemans was better equipped and more powerful, than the 'just-a-tiny-bit-over-base' model my grandpa left

I don't know. Automatics aren't bad per se, there are a lot of cars and trucks that simply make more sense that way - i just don't think Corvette falls into that category. Maybe it's that i think about the Corvette as a sports car, and that i only drove a C6, which seemed usable with a manual. If you plan to DD that,

This is an exceptional car - supposed to have been a hoot when new, and is in such a state, that it would not only be rare in the States, but in its homeland too. I would love to get a chance to drive it, and would even consider owning one.

The spelling's right and the message appropriate Also, very civil to use, and thus respect one-another's language.

I've read that same firing order a few years ago, in another farewell of yours, was sad back then, and some time later was delighted to read you here again. Will miss your insights Peter, and who knows, maybe later will get to read your car-related posts somewhere else. Keep exploring, keep pushing the envelope!

I think i know the answer to the second part - camera diminishes speed, so i think the fire truck must have gone at its normal blue-light speed, its just that we don't see that. Also, these fire trucks don't do that high speeds, after all they are extremely heavy, and even top-heavy at that, it's just that they don't

It's pretty much a ripoff of this one, but that must have had some lesser known videos before it, say, s*** my b**ch up. It still works though, as does the enclose footy vid - i get a kick out of it every time, if you pardon the pun.
