I heard these 'murrican muscle cars munch tires for breakfast, dinner and lunch, but i didn't think they meant that literally

Interesting: the west was producing more offspring in the times when 4 year old girls were routinely thrown through windshields, and hadn't even heard about the problems of an aging society.

Excellent COTD, and i can wholeheartedly agree with your views on cars' nationalities, but there is just one nagging feeling: there still are differences in quality and durability between cars of different origins, and these tend to correlate to the old adages pretty well. Yes, there are exceptions, but the rule still

The chair's back is obviously broken off, so it might just be girth. But that smile.... i bet he's already through a few pints there.

I wish you were right, but frankly, i think they meant the closed shape as a whole, and not just specifically the shooting brake. But i could be very happily wrong.

nevermind

Well.... BMW did stop with the ragtop/coupe pair and gone with the folding hardtop with the latest Z4, so there might be some truth in #3 On the other hand, there is the whole GT86/BRZ/FR-S debacle - its everything a Coupe version of the MX-5 could be, and interestingly Toyota keeps on reciting, that you can fit 4

You cannot skip them, as a lot of that stuff is mandatory to get your new model DOT/EU etc. approved.

Yo dawg, i herd you like prancing horseys.........

I did once open the hood of a V12 XJ-S. I like a good challenge, when it comes to cars, but that mess in there is a bit too much even for my stomach. Also 3speed slusher only, so i would say most jalops would be much better off with a manual 6pot.

A few observations.

I like cars better.

Guys, I.... I really don't know what to say, this does mean a lot to me. Thanks for sharing.

The original Alpine sports coupes were rear-engine and they kept on with that RR layout up until the A610 ended production deep into the '90s. Expecting anyone (bar porsche) to produce a modern RR sports car is futile, and as the layout pretty much determines the major design proportions, Renault doesn't really stand

I haven't because they aren't sold in Europe, luckily. And we aren't talking about new Rams at $20k, we're talking about a used Ram at $50k. Even you agree it's CP, so what was your original problem with Duurtlangs' post?

Exactly why do you need 725 hp to haul bricks?

Ok, this shit is crazy. CP, of course, but i wouldn't even pay half as much for it, because the whole idea is something i detest - so for me, this is a CP car at a CP price.

Ok, now compare the interiors of a Range Rover to the interiors of a Ram.

I too own one of my childhood hero cars. And I sure do feel awesome when driving.

The Chevy Volt is available in Europe under the plates Vauxhal / Opel Ampera. Also there are a lot of bowties on the roads of Europe, but most were made in Korea, and were born Daweoo. So I have to say choosing the Volt as a distinctly american car to do Europe is missing the point.
