I'd put the RS2 up top, 'cause a fast V8 merc sedan there was before, but Audi broke brand new ground, when instead of 200 Avant Turbo Quattro 20V, they called their insanely fast wagon simply RS2.

Now you're talking. Even nice coupes of this vintage command as high prices around where I live, and this is a one-off too, with seemingly respectable build quality, plus that straight-6 2.8 is just as its name suggest: straight. So I would say, this is a deal!
I got to say, you nailed this, the RS2 Avant is the best in this class. There where other -porsche collaborations, notably the similarly insane Merc 500E, but this beats them all.
@Matt Hardigree: This's no Buick. It's a time travelling ship from the far future where steampunk is real, and Ikea is fantasy. The flats just seemed the right place to land.
I am sorry, but the conversion ruins it, i would rather have the proper coupe. It is very exclusive, but that's still a lot of money. CP!
At the Infinti M's European launch I was told by their European comm dir, Wayne Bruce, that they have agreed with Merc to buy from their engines. However, he did not mention performance V8s, on the contrary: the Merc i4 diesel engines are on the horizon for the M - as having such in your lineup is a must, if you want…
@ccc40821: Is that a Kabinroller....?
This is why people think Ferrari drivers are asshats.
Hm. WRC will use 1.6t i4 engines already in 2011. On the grid are Ford, Citroen and Mini. I wonder if they would like to try their hand at single seater...? After all, in the modern F1, the pit engineer reads the pace notes for the driver....
I don't like this car, not a bit. And it looks like an update of the previous, as opposed to a new model. Merc is letting me down, nowadays....
Err..... no. IF there was the right engine up front, then yes, but for this much, i doubt that, they would boast about that, wouldn't they? And a slusher, ok its good for the winter, but ruins the point of an SHOgon, for me. No, i'm sorry, this could be a deal, cause its cheap, but just not for me.
Ferrari, even under fiat guidance, is generally considered to be more passionate and daring than the usual fare of car makers. Still, a single enthusiast succeeded in making one of their prime products better in every single way.
@t_s: Those ae IDEs, no? DCOEs are side-draft....
Well.... I have mentioned preciously, that i happen to live in a central-yurpian country, where 33s are of legal immigrance, so this price... let's just say, that at the moment the most expensive 33 here would cost me $1.430 Yeah, i know it is a rarity on your side of the pond, but if i wanted a Golf of similar…
Well, everything, i mean EVERYTHING is avaliable to race these beasts if you look for them east of the fallen iron curtain. In my home, hungary, it has so much of a culture, that you can build proper rally cars out of them, based in fact on a factory rally special known as the VFTS (vilnius fabrik tuning sport, if i…
@solomonrex: Ah i see. Have no idea of these matters, cheers for enlightening.
