Yeah . . . I'm not buying it. I've defrosted a lot of things, and the fastest safe method I've seen is using cool running water, thanks to the power of convection.

If you just need to thaw it, use the sous vide machine with a cold water bath. Set it to the lowest temperature so it won't heat the water at all, just pump it around. The moving water helps it thaw much quicker.

The other alternative I use a lot is straight from the freezer to the sous vide. Having a chamber vacuum sealer helps.
