Not really, the look of the movie is quite contemporary. Not as niche as Transformer (Orange/Teal) nor desaturated (any DC movies produced by Snyder), some of the cgi of the war plane looks green-screen’d, and i am sure some of it are just cgi jungle (when she was running back towards the camp, an almost impossible…

IMO was also godawful and boring, but hey, at least he got off some steam, yeah?

Basically, the Shepard ripped space time a new hole that allows humongous monsters and demons to come out to any time, space and *GASP* even other reality/dimensions! So yes, this means there are 3 movies about alternate reality Cloverfield and all happens to have very tenuous connections between them.
