Fast Times at Ridgemont High is based on a book by Cameron Crowe. At the age of 22, Crowe moved back in with his parents in San Diego and enrolled in high school. His character/the reporter isn’t depicted in the book or movie, but both were based on his reporting and writing.

That seems like an important detail to get right. Hathaway does not, in fact, play the titular Eileen.

Agree. Like him or not, Tim Allen is Buzz Lightyear and Buzz is pretty cool.

It should be noted that the Taylor-Johnsons first got together when she was 42, and he was...18.

I feel the age gap closes as people get older.

Chinatown?

It was, oddly enough, on one of the movie channels last weekend and we watched from the middle to the end.

I just wanted to note that the best book I read in 2022 is Flyboy in the Buttermilk by Greg Tate.

In Pulp Fiction, what’s in the suitcase?

I think it’s interesting that they live at the White House. I’m pretty sure that Naomi has lived with her grandparents at the White House for a while and now that she’s married she and her husband both live there. It’s not out of the question that the president’s great-grandchild might live at the White House, too --

I have not read any of them. I’m ashamed.

I don’t disagree. But the people who bother me even more than defense lawyers are the “crisis communications” media reps who defense the undefendable.

Kate Upton is Justin Verlander’s wife, while Tom Brady is Gisele Bundchen’s husband.

They did a film together called “A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon.” It’s arguably the first film that River Phoenix did that he was the “star” — at least he’s top billed. It’s not nearly as good as the other films Phoenix made right before it or right after it.

She was arrested for bringing illegal drugs into fucking Russia ...

In CA or maybe just L.A., you can’t buy alcohol in the self check out line no matter what, which is both sort of understandable and sort of a drag.

No matter what time of day or how long the lines are there is never a long wait if you do self-checkout where I shop.

And then this posted today:

thanks for the correction. It’s an important distinction and I was wrong.

It’s actually sad to me that Elon Musk is so disgusting, because the companies he’s founded — electric cars, solar energy — seem like good ideas.
