I saw Phoebe Bridgers album on some of the year’s end best of lists. I like it — it reminds me of the music that David Lynch produces and uses in Twin Peaks. Sort of ethereal.

I would have said Twin Peaks.

Mrs. Michaels: Al, do you really have to work on New Year’s Eve? I wanted to go dancing.

It’s actually more environmentally sound to have a residency.

“Don’t mistake activity for achievement” isn’t even original.

It’s relevant, I believe, because the supposed quality of Allen’s work is used as justification for why people work with him despite the things he’s said to have done.

I was going to say The Dreamlife of Angels, but while that’s set in France, it’s not Paris, France. It’s still a great move. It stars Elodie Bouchez.

“Their future’s so bright they gotta wear shades.”

I just saw Guns N Roses last week. (This was the first time I’d seen Axl Rose and Slash together on stage since the ‘90s.) Great set, btw — Axl still has great range and Slash has never been better. At one point (Coma) I think he soloed for ten straight minutes.
