Yeah, tapas restaurants are so much better! Small portions, freshly made, and you get a little of everything.
That’s not how those kinds of settlements work. She had to recieve treatment, assess the extent of her injuries, and seek council. If she had started her suit within a few weeks, I would assume she just wanted a payout. Since she waited this long, she’s probably actually been dealing with an awful lot of bullshit.…
If just one day in the ICU costs upwards of $30,000 or more, and she also had 3 months of rehab, I’m betting they are getting off easy with just $1mil in damages if the insurance company has anything to do with the lawsuit :(

I think you missed the part where she wound up in the ICU. At the very least, she should be able to recover her medical bills b/c of how ridiculously expensive they are in the US.
I am so on board with your experience. I don’t even have a baby, and I still struggle to keep up with multiplayer experiences because, like you said, NEWSFLASH: most of us work for a living :)
Children really do need adequate protein and/or fat at every meal because they don’t eat much at a time so you have to keep it coming in small amounts. It doesn’t always have to come from animal products, but it should at least once per day for brain and immune system development. Once they hit puberty it’s not so…
When you live in an apartment complex, you are not allowed to repair your car in the parking area (or even wash it). There are very specific regulations regarding this. If they even see that your car hasn’t moved for a few days and you don’t have an assigned spot, you will be contacted and informed that if your car…
Everyone password protects their wifi now. Modems are even provided by internet providers that have passwords preconfigured and labeled on the modem, so if you want to take the password off it’s done with purpose.
I was once a waitress in a beer bar with strict dress and availability requirements - plaid mini-skirt and fitted t-shirt plus required to be on call at all times. Basically, the other sluttier waitresses would get hammered and be unable to come in to work, so those of us who conducted ourselves properly would get…
You must be tall. It takes me 10 minutes to jog a mile. I’m 5’5” and 130 lb too. A quick google search says that 15 minutes is an average ‘fitness walking pace’, so even then, that assumes you’re exercising and not carrying anything.
The food at convenience stores are so expensive too! Like twice as much in a lot of places. That’s the price one pays for convenience I suppose.
Oh god. I would kill for counter top space and outlets. I run a super dangerous extension cord hooked up to a surge protector into my kitchen to run the blender and microwave. I keep a blender out because my breakfast is always a spinach/banana smoothie. The microwave balances precariously on the ledge that separates…
That’s not true. My family was always poor. So poor in fact, that when I filled out all of the FAFSA paperwork, the federal government assessed that my parents could afford $0 to pay for my college education. I went to a public university which was reasonably priced in NC and payed for everything with student loans,…
Lol I like that he counts his miniscule commute time as ‘working hours’. I wish I knew that was an option. I could really impress my parents with all of the ‘overtime’ that I’m working.
Whoa, how many closets do you have? More than one is a luxury. Is your place more than 700 sq ft? If so, you’re to be envied.
mmmm all this talk of ramen is making me hungry :p
Geez, where are the vegetables? Do you make them fresh on the days when you eat the leftovers of what you made on Sunday? If not, this menu is, from a clinical nutrition standpoint, a recipe for a health disaster.
Actually, not all apartments come with refrigerators, freezers or even air conditioning - at least not in Los Angeles or New York. I was surprised too.
