I think the problem is, many people have a dismissive attitude toward a particular genre and make assumptions off of that. If he truly enjoyed the first half of Civil War, it makes no sense not to see how the character arcs are resolved, it is some of the best writing in any genre.

While that would be very cool (I don't need a reason to watch AOS, been a fan since season one), the problem with that is, that would open a whole can of worms for expectations of links between the show and the movies that would set a bar that could never be maintained.
