I’m personally surprised they didn’t attach them to winched support lines and turn them into larger arrays of these things. Even with a decent steel cable, they’d be invisible to 400mph aircraft. If them made a 1200’x100’ array of balloons, they’d probably be able to take down a few aircraft if they knew their general

You DO realize games back in the early-mid 90’s cost $79-99.95, right (and they STILL often featured $40 or so “expansion packs” that were mostly just story add-ons)? That’s about $130-140 in today-dollars. Game developers are being asked to make more and more HUGE games for far smaller returns, and WE’RE bitching

With all due respect, though... Furniture is nothing like software. Gaming software, specifically, can end up with a $100M budget because it takes teams upon teams to build the incredibly complex systems (and tons and tons of 3D/art assets) involved in getting our video games built. Gaming software is probably closer

If there was a structural failure causing the aircraft to be unstable, too, then it’s possible the aircraft wasn’t vertical enough with enough altitude to eject. He might’ve been trying to get it to rotate upright enough to get out and failed. Tragic. Condolences.

... This is literally attempted murder. In almost every state a vehicle is considered a lethal weapon, and in the video the driver clearly demonstrates he hit the motorcycle intentionally. Put the guy in jail and let him think about it for a couple years. People like that have no business on the road or even in normal

Just because someone else is breaking the law, it doesn’t give you the right to assault them with a deadly weapon. This person could literally be charged with attempted murder. He knowingly hit them with a car... which in almost every state is considered a lethal weapon.

I’ve passed LOADS of times on a DY, especially in an area of MD where they *used* to have passing lanes and then the local gov’t removed them due to “speeding” complaints. Ie - old people live there and want to drive 30-40 in a 50mph zone. So there have been plenty of times where I’ll pass someone doing 35-40 in a 50

#COTD.

... Virtually every conflict in the Middle East and Africa right now involve that consequence. Just because it doesn’t happen in English-speaking conflicts doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

** Trigger warning for vets : close combat footage with crack-over rounds **

If you read the article... it says the GoPro fell off the drone. The drone flew fine.

Oh sure, let’s go into years and years of investigations into intelligence agencies that will cost many people their careers, make everyone look bad, embarrass past intel collection efforts, cost everyone billions of dollars, and generally make everyone miserable! We can FURTHER take dollars we had allocated to new

Think about it logically for a second. What makes more sense? The US perpetrates an act that causes over a trillion dollars of economic damage, a decade of quagmire war, the eventual diminishment of US clout overseas, and the fall of the Middle East into chaos... or an Islamist group seeking to reduce US involvement

Full-scale war in Europe would be awful. Would likely turn nuclear. I can ‘t see any war involving Europe and Russia that didn’t involve the end of all things.

This. I think most fans have never had knee injuries that would help them to understand the patience that should be given these players. That first moment when recovering you go and plant to do something and don’t feel any sparks of pain it’s a HUGE difference in any athlete’s game. Every little instability or ache

... your former phrase of your former sentence explains the latter sufficiently that I won’t bother trying to explain why the latter statement’s absurd.

You know, I play lacrosse. I run a fair amount (though mostly intensity training and sprints, less miles and miles... 5-6 tops). I would NEVER keep going if crap like this was happening to my body. Maybe ripped off blisters on my toes, but good lord. I know it’s “normal for long distance” - but maybe that means “yes,
