I find something sureal about Vancouver shows. An army of actors moves from one Vacouver show to another and as soon as you see two Canadians you go “Oh, this is Vancouver.” It kind of takes you out of the moment.
check out the Magicians on Netflix
Why 1976? What’s the last time we had a show about witches set in a contemporary setting? I want magic interacting with modern tech. No doom and gloom. And no goth aesthetic thing. A whole magic community that’s diverse and seems to exist outside interactions with the main cast.
I thought it was the U.S.S. Star-Lord Everdeen.
Maybe it gets blocked from the 3. Maybe not. Longer field goals require a lower trajectory and are more likely to get blocked. The effect is magnified in college where kickers are not as talented as in the NFL. Even in the NFL it’s a big difference. A kick from the three is all but automatic, from the 18 it is only…
This doesn’t offend me as a Jewish person, but it offends me as a comedian.
So what you’re saying is that putting off this course has ALREADY saved me $47. Why do I need to beat procrastination again?
Eh, I’ll check it out later...
The first version I ever heard was actually sung ‘and Joker lost a leg.’ Which kind of fit the rhyme scheme better and had a funny surreal parallelism with the Batmobile’s fate.
Very sad. This also reminded me that Roy Dotrice is 93 years old as well - and if you haven’t already, listen to the GoT audiobooks (he narrates all but one) and they’re amazing. The one book he didn’t do was a slog.
Bummed that he’ll probably not get to read the next book let alone finish the series at GRRM’s current…
And now his watch is ended.
Just imagine how she is going to react when someone tells her where pistachios come from...
Why is Babylon 5 always forgotten on these lists?
Can’t anyone just be wrong anymore? Do they also have to be a “fucking idiot”?
The first 4/5 of Friday rank among some of Heinlein’s best ever. The ending is pure garbage. I always got the sense he started writing and put each page on a scale until he hit a certain weight and then wrapped it up as fast (and inelegantly as possible.) If I didn’t know better, I’d think the last chapter or so was…
So you’re not in favor of mirroring/reflecting? That sort of thing would tick you off?
So let it be written, so let it be done.
It’s cold outside.
