That accent is what’s known as Received Pronunciation, and in those days you had to be able to speak like that to get a job on the BBC. Most Brits can fake it, at least for a bit, when we have to “talk posh”.

I’d say the extra 4" in length is largely useless unless you have pets sleeping at the foot of your bed. The width is much more usable.

Translation aside, I find anyone who is frantically screaming and pointing at a sealed and semi-submerged, motor powered craft from their own motor powered craft, to be hilarious. Get that man a megaphone or tell him to save his breath, sounded like he might have an aneurism. 

It’s not really her fault; some idiot asked her about it. It’s not like she “chose to take this stance” by scheduling a press conference to announce she wouldn’t go. Someone interviewing her asked her a question, and she answered the question presented to her.
