Nice well good luck. They are fun across the power band. Very sorted and starts pulling quickly. Just missed AWD for snow or else I’d still have mine

selling the car because they had one kid? We had a 2000 2 door Integra, kid in 2004, finally replaced with a 2009 WRX. One kid does not need more than a GTI. And it’s a 4 door!

YES! Phone finally charged!!!

YES! Phone finally charged!!!

If you know the VIN, you do this trick five or six times a year.

List the car on Ebay, check the carfax it creates.
Delete the listing.
Win-Win.

CP if only for the license plate holder that says “Hater gonna hate!”

Nah, 93 Bonneville, forest green with gold accents.

I have but one star to give.

Lincoln’s krilling it.

I had a 2007 MKV GTI, I had a bit over 115,000 miles on it when I sold it. I only had a driver side drive shaft need replacing the whole time that I had the car. It was very solid, never left me stranded and was a hoot to drive. I have had a ton of vehicles, and it is on the short list of vehicles I would have again.

I bought a used 2009 MKV GTI with DSG last year, and it is one of the best cars I’ve experienced (and the best I’ve owned, but I’ve only ever owned 2 cars, sooo...). It only has 30k miles on it now (it was a unicorn find with 19k miles), but it’s been very reliable, so practical, and super fun. I can fit almost

60k on my 2011 with zero issues and I daily drive it and run 6 autocrosses and 3 track days a year.

I bought my Golf R new in January 2016 and currently 40,865km on it as of this writing and there hasn’t been a single issue with it. I’ve owned 5 VW/Audi before this one, and not a single one gave me an issue.

Check Consumer Reports. They’re a lot more reliable than they used to be, up to average.

Had a ‘14 MkVI GTI for three years on lease. Lurved it, mostly. Apart from constantly messing up tires (40-aspect and Long Island roads don’t mix), the one major problem I had was a dead RFID immobilizer that prevented the car from starting. The immobilizer is embedded in the instrument panel and can’t be replaced

The only major issue i read about was that early 2015 models (US) had defective turbos that would fail/blow up. A new revision of the turbo has since remedied the problem.

I’ve got a ‘07 GTI (MKV) now at 140k miles, it’s been the most reliable (and fun) car I’ve ever owned... seriously.

On one hand a brand new one blew a turbo at an autocross I went to over the summer, on the other I drove one 2,000 miles to spring break and back with a couple of buddies last year without any issues. It’s a mixed bag for sure.

Reliability wise the mk5 GTI’s and newer (all I have hands on knowledge and experience with) are more reliable than most cars in their segment. Some people go through 5 water pumps, most still have the one from the factory. The TSI motor they introduced at the end of the mk5 gen and into the mk6 and 7 with different

I had a 2007 with an FSI engine and it had... Issues. A lot of issues. But I loved it.

I’ve owned several Golfs and currently DD a 2014 GTI. I’ve also owned a 2013 Jetta GLI.

Only VW I have ever had issues with was my ‘94 MK3 Golf which had lots of electrical gremlins.

I will also say - the current GTI I have is equipped w/ the DSG and it is pretty fantastic. If it were not for my other half I would
