CP - if it were the 5.9 engine we could consider this price range. That rough country lift is not impressing anyone, makes me wonder what other bottom of the line stuff he's "invested" in the Jeep

Way to go fellow Jeepers. I can only imagine what it will mean to the family

Cool

That's something I legitimately wanted for my Blink system. Cool

The 1981 Honda Accord hatchback was literally my first car. A quadruple hand me down from Grandpa >Aunt > Sister > and was finally killed by me. Growing up in the 909 my school was surrounded by dirt and I would use a dirt ‘road’ to bypass the traffic backed up on the 1 lane roads. Soon enough I was doing speeds

My choice, supported by my cash, is the WJ Grand Cherokee. I’ve got heated leather seats, solid axles, easy to get parts, quadra-drive, JK wheels bolt on... and they are abundant and cheap.

That spare tire holder is totally a rip of HK Offroad’s Kratos!! Here is my Jeep with the Kratos

It has the same basic layout as my 2008 MDX

I have been breaking my DeWalt drill bits left and right. I’d rather go Harbor Freight next time so if it breaks, I didn’t pay a lot for it to break.

I’v got that chair and it is legit. It comes with Feet that make sitting on oft surfaces totally possible. But the feet add like half a pound. Used it yesterday to sit on a sandy beach no problem.

Cool seeing Jalop’ posting about something super relevant to me. I have the WJ Grand Cherokee and yep, soon as you lift the larger spare tire no longer fits. Options are slim. Jeep Man Bun, (tire on roof), in the hatch, no spare, or custom rear bumper with rear swing out arm. That was the case until HK Offroad came

I’ve been thinking about what vehicles would be great with a solid axle swap. The Commander is one of the ones I thought would be a good candidate. Utilitarian looks, upclass interiors, low upfront cost, decent parts availability.

I’ve shot out springs on the trail with my solid axle Jeep. What did you have to put back together with TTB’s? I am not too familiar with them but have been wondering if they would be a good base for a next build (crawler / overlander)

Short win for a long loss. I get your point, but you’re missing the long term point of this. It is a race to the bottom.

I kinda hope so, thinking that it would create room in the line up for what everyone really wants. An XV XT. The XV is such a nice sized and looking car. Just hard to get excited about with the current powetrain.

Long Travel is a far cry from a standard IFS setup. I am a Jeep dude, and though I would never Pony up for a G Wagen, much of my offroading (crawling) benefits from a solid axle.

I first read the headline and thought, awesome they kept the solid axles. Then I got to “...independent suspension with double-wishbone front axle ... “ and felt like G Wagon died.

What is new with the hard top configuration? I thought I heard something about removable side panel or something. Like you could keep the top on but remove the side.

Don’t fly. Problem solved!
