I took my laptop to the Windows store I got it from when there was an issue with the upgrade to 8. The first person offered to wipe the computer and dot he 8 install/upgrade free of charge. I mean, ghostriding my buddy's '81 Honda (pictured above, blue) outside of town one night was pretty stupid. That was mostly because we were on a levee and the car could've just stuttered in the gravel and veered into a ditch. Not that it would've been the only time I put a car in a ditch, but whatever.

I just turn off the visibility for my desktop icons. Note sure if you use Windows or not but I believe this became a feature in Win7. Right Click > View > Desktop Icons
