One thing to bear in mind: the Republicans are likely to mount a fund-raising-palooza off of this week. People who are happy about this week’s developments (with or without the TPP passage) are less likely to contribute to candidates than people who are just pissed off at SCOTUS and Obama. If I were a Republican

I’m gay. My religious liberties are intact. It’s all those other rights I’m worried about. Graham isn’t worried about anyone’s religious liberties. No one gay or straight is in danger of losing religious freedom. This about the right to legally discriminate against gay people in housing, employment and commerce. This

When they say religious liberties, they mean something very specific. They mean the legal right to discriminate against gay people in housing, employment, and commerce. We might be able to get married, but they are still going to fight to keep us second class citizens. The war is not over. Gay marriage was just one

Those poor Christians! The underrepresented majority. It’s not like six of the nine Supreme Court Justices, 91.8% of Congress, and the President of the United States are all Christian or something!

I mean,

I know. I taught at Valencia as an adjunct for five years, and I had nothing but positive experiences there. This is an anomaly.

Yeah, I’m in the radiography program at this school, and this just really does not sound right to me. I really don’t want to believe it. :/

This is my school... I’m a student in the radiography program (and this program is the “diagnostic medical sonography” program, not “medical diagnostics”). This is completely not my experience with the school or the health sciences programs. I have a policy of believing victims in these situations but man, I really

How in the fuckity fuck is it 2015 and some ingenious asshole hasn’t created a fake vagina specifically for this with sensors and doodads that ring a loud noise and say things out loud like “That isn’t the vagina, wrong hole moron.”

This is really crazy and upsetting. Valencia is considered one of the best community colleges in the country and is considered the example for other schools all over the country. How they handle this could have far reaching effects.

It’s worth noting that a commenter on reddit was familiar with the environment and said these accusations were way overblown. I know, consider the source, but the comment rang true to me as it was rather matter of fact and lacked the defensiveness that those with an agenda usually bring to the table.

She must have wrecked too, her pants are completely shredded, at least she was able to walk away.

You forgot KCI. Seriously has the worst layout for an airport. There is nothing inside the terminal. All of the options to purchase anything are outside of security. They may have changed it once they banned drinks, but before then you would have to go back through security just to get something to eat.

This is one of the extremely rare times I get to brag about Orlando, so I have to: MCO (aka OIA) is the best airport I fly out of. They’re always fast, at least half-courteous, don’t rush you in the pickup/dropoff lanes, and you just won’t miss a connection through that airport.

no. The daily show before JS was terrible. Immeasurable Craig Kilborn and his hair basically doing America's Funniest Home News. God Kilborn was terrible. Stewart (and the other writers) took it from a show mocking ignorant little people to mocking big ignorant people. Kilborn and his tired God, I'm So Handsome

When Stewart took his sabbatical to go make Rosewater, I remember thinking "He's done at The Daily Show. He'll be there another year, tops." It was obvious he was getting restless, and I'm glad he's stepping down before it has a negative effect on the show. Leave while you're still great.

Anyone who's worked in any kind of phone-based customer service won't find any of this surprising.

I worked at Suddenlink for a little under a year in support (where we were instructed to try and sell new services over actually fixing any issues, btw), and would get verbally beaten down on an hourly basis. People get

I try my best to always keep this in mind when I'm talking to a rep on the phone, or standing at an airline counter, or whatever. The problem is that while I know it's not the fault of the employees standing there, the actual people responsible at the company have made themselves *incredibly* difficult to complain to
