So glad to see Elsie back. We knew she was probably still kicking but I could watch a Bernard and Elsie team up as it’s own show.

This is fucking insane though honestly, I still can’t believe how big this movie became, and I say that as a huge fan of McDonagh. I’d have hated to see these fucking mouthbreathers reactions to his previous two films (“He’s trying to redeem a guy who kills people for money! Durr hurr!”)

Anyone who actually watched the film knows that is exactly how Rockwell’s character was portrayed, and it was consistent and unambiguous. This didn’t need to be explained, but of course it has been due to this baffling backlash.

This guy’s constantly having to explain his movie! Woody Harrelson’s arc on Canto Bight was integral to the story! It made sense that Frances McDormand would point her car towards the Supremecy and floor it. Of course Sam Rockwell can project himself across the other side of town. Wish people would give him a break.

But if the movie isn’t constantly reminding me racism is bad, how am I supposed to remember that racism is in fact bad?

The irony is that the film is about the pitfalls of angry people needing to put their anger elsewhere, and how displacing anger onto other people or situations will only reap more anger in re-turn.

I found Rey’s motivations in this movie to be frustratingly muddled.

That’s really all I had to say. It’s not you. It is the writing. She’s a reactive character who hasn’t been given a real arc yet, which is weird since she’s supposed to be the main character of this trilogy.
