But that's exactly it. Britney Spears was selected, packaged, given things to say, promoted, given the prime TV coverage needed to take off for her first album, and it was all before accomplished anything. Not a bad comparison, except the worst thing her handlers could have done is make her music worse. 

Do you not consider the whole thing with his police department to be a moral scandal? 

Right, and I can see some of it once the ball gets rolling, but how does he get on the national radar in the first place? Why are his fundraising totals so far out ahead of his actual support?

But the dynasty thing is important, because it explains how Jeb! raised so much money. Butigig doesn’t have that, which makes me wonder what’s behind his huge fundraising and media coverage. He’s mayor of a small city in a non-swing state, how many similarly situated mayors would get a second of national coverage?

Right, but why him and not any of the dems who hold essentially the same positions and actually have some experience? And doesn’t it seem strange to you that someone who’s so low in the polling is pulling in so many donors and getting so much coverage?

So is Butigig the new Jeb!? He's raising a ton of money despite no one actually wanting to vote for him. He has no constituency and no qualifications, and yet is raking in the high dollar donors. At least we knew why Jeb! had his donor network, where'd Butigigs come from and who's running it? 

You brought up people not liking him because of purity tests. A primary is exactly the time for purity testing, so I fail to see the problem here. He’s looking to drop out because he got beat in every possible lane he could have run in. Realistically he got out campaigned by Beto, who then got his lunch eaten by…

It really looks like he was down by contact. You could almost say he gave himself up, so it should probably be spotted either in Vicksburg or Appomattox Courthouse. 

I found this friend a couple of months ago. Made my afternoon. 

He’d be under the DSCC, not the DCCC. But I don’t expect there to be any repercussions for some other reason that I can’t put my finger on. 

Given that he hasn't actually managed to answer that, why should his supporters?
