I like how apparently having policy differences with someone is a “mythical leftist purity test in which the only thing that matters is economic socialism”. It’s a primary. The whole point is to find a candidate whose policies we most agree with.

The attacks are gross, but it is damn suspicious that they changed their methods to ones that essentially give leadership total control of the endorsement and refuse to release the actual vote count. That doesn’t justify attacking them on racist grounds.

And then Obama went to talk about cutting government in his quest for a grand bargain (with Biden as the point man). Literally the only reason Obama didn’t cut social security was the nutjobs on the right who wouldn’t take yes for an answer.

The biggest thing there in the Clinton impeachment was so small that it wouldn’t even be covered if the Dems brought charges against Trump.

There are no magic bullets for fixing problems, but there are for making problems worse. Actually punishing the people who defied the law is a necessary step, and not doing so guarantees it will happen again.

The Republicans absolutely controlled the media during the Clinton impeachment. And that was before the 24hour news cycle really kicked off. It eventually spiralled out of control for them because there wasn’t anything to it, but everyone knew all the lurid details of everything Clinton had ever done wrong.

Susan Collins, Corey Gardner, Steve Daines, Lisa Murkowski, Rick Scott, Ron Johnson, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Rob Portman, and both NC senators. And that’s without knowing what exactly will be made public.

And before W that path was blazed by Nixon and Regan. If there is no consequence for cheating, why wouldn't you cheat? Same principle behind the "both sides" problem with our media. 

That would be up to a jury. The president has no special legal protection for civil suits. 

That’s a pretty attenuated message, and Republicans will absolutely interpret it as them having not been racist enough.

Voting him out of office won’t resolve the problem of his setting the standard that lawlessness is okay and carries no penalties. It won’t punish the many people who refused subpoenas or lied to congress. And as we’ve seen before, the next republican president will use that to be even worse.

Man I can’t wait to see the DSCC come after him with all the fury they bring against all of the AOC style challengers. I wonder who he’ll use since they’re going to freeze out any vendors or consultants who help primary Democrats. Because they're certainly going to do that here, and it's totally not just something to…
