The only thing that needs to be burned down is toxic gamer culture.

Yeach, I think Kotaku ought to be writing THIS up instead of giving these guys the article the press they're clearly looking for.

Somebody on reddit did some research on Blue Box and apparently they’ve done things like this for years now.

There was never a more satisfying moment in all of Jackass then the crew found out about his fear of snakes.

He was also kinda whiny in a non-comical way.  Ehren McGhehey is whiney but always game and seemingly not into the spotlight.

That’s not on you, friend. When I was at my absolute worst I wasn’t doing my employer any good. They were 100% in the right to do it, and even though it did send me into a downward spiral that made me even worse, I eventually recovered. It wouldn’t have been my boss’s fault if I had OD’d or killed myself, it would

He was always the worst person on the films anyway, so not much lost.

Bam is such a toxic person (even before the drug addiction) he has pushed away anyone that would genuinely want to get him help, and anyone that could tell him this is a bad idea.

It’s not really the guilt, it’s just that you are a source of support and structure to that person as their friend or employer. If you take away that support and structure, even if you have excellent reasons for doing so, the risk to that person increases.

Also, if they really are close friends and you cut them off, you just gave them one less reason not to get loaded, go to jail, go to rehab, or die.

I mean that would be their theoretical tactic but they are going up against Paramount and their team of lawyers. What’s going to actually happen is they’re going to release the film as scheduled and say “Yea so if your case is valid we’ll just settle with you using the profits from that (but since we run every

Jackass Sues Jackasses for Being Jackasses, is in fact Himself the Jackass.

That’s true! However they are trying to make a movie and if you can’t not get loaded then you can’t make their movie.

And if anyone is intimately familiar with that concept, it’s Steve-O.

Absolutely true. However, it’s also completely fair to not want someone who is suffering from addiction to join you on stunts that can get you maimed or killed.

Nothing says “I didn’t do what they said I did” like a $7.7mil payout.

In fairness, his chosen name warned us.

Considering that he initially went with the “omg I am being censored” line and then quickly switched into “oh shit I’m actually sorry” mode after he got removed from 3 separate festivals within a week, I can’t wait for the retraction of the retraction.

It’s almost like he wasn’t sorry and is a huge asshole...
