I saw this, looked it up, and then started watching. The first 10 minutes informed me that I wanted to finish watching. It felt like I was watching an 80's slasher, even the music harkened back to those days.

Yup. It’s one of those remakes that’s actually good. You wouldn’t think anyone could match Joe Spinell’s performance, but he really goes for it and he really nails it.
