Saying there is no aftermarket support for the Stealth is patently false. 3SX makes a ton of aftermarket and OEM style replacement parts. My dad had two at one point, a 92 and a 93. We rebuilt the engine on the 93 after 255k miles and a slipped timing belt. Ended up finally selling it at 350k+ and it was running fine.

Isn’t one of the functions of traffic stops to help catch criminals that might be moving around?  Think of the people trafficking drugs or even other people that get stopped for broken taillights or speeding or whatever.  I don’t think a department of transportation is going to be able to do much about that.  Unless

Companies are not people and do not have opinions. The people that run the companies are the ones with the opinions. It’s stupid to ask a company what it’s stance is on a matter. You should be asking the people running the company how they feel, not waiting for the company’s official Twitter account to make a

My dad had a 69 Roadrunner with a 4 speed and a Hemi...

I had a 2000 several years ago.  The cam chain tensioners were another weak point on these engines that took many years to get right.  I want to say it was 2006 before they finally settled the design on them.  The head gasket ended up going out on mine (after I sold it to my brother’s girlfriend), but that wasn’t

Seems like it actually shares a fair amount in common with older motorcycles.  I was thinking those tires kinda reminded me of a motorcycle, then when I saw the brakes it clicked again.  That setup is basically identical to the old rear drum brake on my bike.

Remind me again when we’re going to have fully autonomous cars?

My biggest wrenching project is also the one I have been putting off the longest. I’ve had my 71 Vette for just under 20 years now and have probably needed to rebuild the rear suspension since then. We took it to an alignment shop years ago after I rebuilt the front suspension, but they told us the back alignment

So I can’t remember, but doesn’t F1 actually require a team to field 2 cars to race or is that just the norm?  That seems like a pretty easy way to reduce some cost if you don’t have to build and finance an entire second vehicle.  That would potentially get more independent teams in there too if they only need to

The Genesis line has been doing a nice job lately.  I’m not sure I’m quite as much of a fan of their top tier cars looks-wise, but the lower tier ones for sure catch my eye when driving past the local dealer.

I almost feel like EV would kill the sport of drag racing.  So much of drag racing is about tuning your engine just right for the conditions, though I suppose there is a fair amount of chassis setup, at least on cars that have more suspension values to set.  EV feels like it would really flatten the playing field out,

Wow, just the sound of the board takes me back to when my brother and I tried to do everything in these games.

I love the seats in my 04 Viper.  They hug you just right and give you a much more secure feeling when you are about to fling the car around a corner.  I believe they were very similar to the SRT4 seats and I think the Ram SRT10 also used them.

Fair, though I think you also shouldn’t be looked down on for choosing something other than the fully insulated and padded tank with extra bullet proofing just because you like something else more.  I really like the way a 4Runner looks over a Jeep for instance, regardless of whether one performed better in a crash

What might be more impressive is that they offered a whopping 25 colors!  Today you’re lucky to get more than 5.

I have said this for a while now whenever someone says “I want the safest car I can get because I’m starting a family”. While it never really hurts to have something that can survive a collision effectively and keep its occupants safe, I’d rather just not get in the collision to begin with as much as possible. I

I wouldn’t disagree, but there is much more to EFI than just a set of injectors where a carb used to be. The high pressure fuel system is the bigger reason I haven’t converted my old Vette over. The lines are just gravity pressure to the engine bay. I don’t know if I would trust old metal tubing for 60 psi, and

I wouldn’t save that much money doing it myself, I’d end up with more junk in my house that I’d never use again

I don’t work for an automotive OEM in the same sense, but I do design industrial trucks for a living and can agree that having some wrenching experience can certainly help.  I got the names of the main engineers at the site from my friend’s stepdad who worked there in the finance department.  I got a tour from the

I think one reason 2 car families might have the same car is because they are performing the same task. If a husband and wife are both working and have to commute, it might make more sense for them to have two smaller cars so they are each comfortable on their drives. Otherwise one might always have to drive a big
