True, everything else down the line would have to get beefed up with it. I’m still amazed they don’t come with any more power than they do from the factory.

My wife wants a 4Runner, I want a Trackhawk. I could buy a 4Runner and this engine and pay less than a Trackhawk...
Unfortunately, the R33 LM race cars didn’t enjoy the same victories that their R32 predecessors did, losing out to the Ferrari F40 and McLaren F1.
Hmm, but what happens if you run into them? I guess if it’s a ghost mode thing you can’t, but takes away some of the “race against real drivers” thing. Time attack I guess, not really wheel to wheel.
A friend got me a modded Pokemon game for Christmas that was an original GameBoy color cartridge. I never remembered the screen being so bad on it. I can barely even play it with lights on. I almost need actual daylight to be able to see the screen. In Nintendo’s defense though, the batteries that had been sitting…
It’s entirely possible it’s not even a Mercedes. Could always be a BMW or something going around in a Mercedes suit to throw people off. It’s been done before. I think the original SLR was originally built under a Viper skin or something like that if I remember right. Rivian was testing under the guise of an F150 as…
It’s about as much an S10 as a Fiero is a Ferrari F40 when built in kit form, but I know what you mean.
We need dedicated ambulance roads for these potholes. They should only be accessible to trained medical professionals. They are too much for the rest of us to handle and could result in personal injury if used incorrectly.
I’m not sure if the average price of a new car has much to do with teens not driving. Aside from the pretty well-to-do parents out there, I’m not sure many kids get brand new cars as their first ride. Maybe I’m just way out of touch or maybe it’s because I like old cars anyway and my family has pretty much never…
This reminds me of a saying I read earlier regarding Notre Dame after the fire. It was something along the lines of “things are not good because they are old, they are old because they are good”.
Cool logo at least.
Part of the issue is that it’s nearly impossible to use high beams based on the rules in the driver’s ed handbook. Unless you’re driving in roughly the middle of nowhere, there is almost always enough traffic flow that you’d be turning your high beams on an off constantly every few seconds.
I think some of it is just the way faith is today. Back then religion often played a much larger role in people’s lives. Especially more so when people were less self-sufficient than they might be today. It’s not that faith isn’t still around, but I think a lot of that money now goes toward humanitarian projects that…
That seems like a weird celebrity pick for someone to troll with if that really was the case. You’d like if the employees were messing with each other it would be more something like Elvis, unless they are all skateboarders.
I think one of the reasons you see so much commonality in EVs is because it is such a nascent technology for automotive use (at least wide spread, it’s been around a long time). It’s a lot easier to buy stuff off the shelf from other suppliers while you are figuring out the market. As companies want to separate…
This just reminds me of the movie Syrup. It involved energy drinks and marketing. The general premise being that taste is irrelevant, it’s all about how you sell it.
Hmm, not that I’m saying this is a long term solution by any means, but I wonder if by “closing the border” you can leave the same crossings open, but only limit them to commercial vehicles. Basically just close the borders to people, but not goods as the “short term” threat. I can’t say that this is a good idea or…
I get the impression they won’t exactly close the border in the sense everyone is thinking. I can see them closing the border for personnel crossings, but not proper import/export stuff. That usually runs through a totally different channel than plain people. Maybe it’s a little different with a land crossing vs a…
This one seems pretty easy to me. Public and commercial transit are exempt, all private transit is charged. Isn’t the whole point of congestion charging to get people to use public transit?
I cheat with backup cameras when hooking up to a trailer with my parent’s truck, but I still tend to first eyeball it in straight. The camera is more to get distance right for me. That being said, I’ve got to wonder what happens if the cameras get out of alignment. If someone has an accident that dents their rear…
