Traded it for a Corolla which posed no mechanical issues....EVER!

The stupidest V6 ever because it got the same fuel economy as the Hemi V8 and half the power

Yet another bulletproof car when taken proper care of. A lot of these still on the road today.

On it:

Who raises them to clean the windshield?

Unlike the Corolla with it’s wipers up.

How not to ruin an AWD vehicle:

Cheap, reliable, decent ride, acceptable performance (for an econobox). I really don’t see the issue, they did exactly what they were designed for.

Had a GTZ with it and an Achieva SCX. I miss the SCX, the GTZ was nothing but issues.

I had a couple of those and their sister the Beretta. The were indestructible (sans the GTZ with the Quad4).

My current hauler:

Tie rods are a common wear item, as well as motor mounts. They should be inspected/replaced on regular intervals.

Agreed, the large fat low end torque band also help with the 4.0 vs 3.6.

Minis as in minivans, which aren’t actually mini at all anymore. They weigh 1500lbs more than my pre96 minis.

I have 3 friends with newer minis. They’re identical other than 2 are 3.6L, 1 is a 4.0L. The 4.0L is smooth, quiet, quicker (despite having 30hp less), and gets 2-3mpg better than the other 2.

My opinion, after 2006ish, they’re all garbage.

So drive for a few months with a plugged cat or no exhaust while you’re saving up?

I wouldn’t touch a new Chrysler if someone paid me to.

I agree. Common Sense is a super power these days
