DeLorenzo over at Autoextremist basically blew his hernia out on raging against the Charger. Guy was a prick and kept beating the dead horse every fucking week.

This might actually get me to look up at EVs. The Taycan lifted my Brow, the charger might make me lust.

The 1999 concept definitely should get some batteries, maybe a revised front clip, and a green light for production in the next few years.

In the immortal words of Dr. Watson: “No shit, Sherlock.”

I a lot of the design made it through to the eventual Charger... I mean, look at it, lots of similarities with mostly the front and back changed.

This is the kind of tech I would love to see make its way to electric vehicles in some way. Yes, there’s no actual shift points and there’s a bunch of other potential “issues” that could come up I’m not thinking of... but it would be cool to drive to town in a Ferrari V12, drive back in a Voodoo V8, etc. Fake? Yes.

I should say my Renault Le Car because it was gutless, needed premium gas and I busted a knuckle changing the head gasket.

FCA Tigershark 2.4L in a jeep Cherokee with the new (at the time) 9-spd trans was pretty awful. We had 4 adults trying to get up to Lake Tahoe and it had to scream at 5000 rpm just to pull us up there. Buzzy, brash engine with no redeeming qualities.  The transmission had no idea what gear it was supposed to be in at

We have a Mercedes GLC300, and concur I don’t like the door-mounted controls.  Just feels like showing off for something that is more difficult to use...which seems to be an overall car-design theme that is so hot right now anyway.

On the side of the seat definitely.

Power seats are a “don’t care” thing for me for this very reason.   I drive my car, my wife drives hers.  I haven’t adjusted the seat in my car in about 2 years.  Last time I did, it was because my wife’s car was in the shop and she borrowed mine.

Seat-side is the only way to go. I don't want to have to contort my wrist backwards to mess with door-mounted seat controls

Of all the land yachts from that era, the Imperial was the best looking.

The Z grill easily beats out BWM for the Worst Grill of the Year award.

This is a WTF blast from the past. You don’t see to many adds targeted at successful cult leaders, human traffickers, and televangelists these days.

Compact French Simca, some random Hillman in the UK, the entire North American Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Fargo line of cars and trucks, boat engines, air-conditioner units, airport vehicles, military vehicles, a frigging rocket, a building in the middle of NYC, aircraft engines... What Chrysler didn’t do?

Tri- five Chevy

Cars all became our friend who aced the SAT, got his business degree, and is now doing a solid job raising his two kids in the suburbs while working his way up through middle management at a regional accounting firm. He’s a good friend and can hold his liquor on the semi-monthly occasion he comes out with us.

Certain rappers always struck me as real car guys as opposed to the ones just listing cars or car stuff that doesn't make sense. I feel like Jadakiss is a real car guy. I'll have to peep this album when it drops.

I had a stealth and although I didn’t have the same number of miles on it, I also had about 8 years of trouble free daily driving. Regular maintenance and upkeep — timing belt and clutch were the most expensive, but both wear items. Ended up getting totaled by someone in a snowstorm (while parked)
