It’s silly to hang on to a car you don’t need and aren’t attached to, just because of future FOMO. Just cash out, save yourself the maintenance $, and when the time comes that you actually do need a car find something that actually tickles your fancy and never look back.

It’s wild out there. I got a message from the dealership that sold me my (since-sold) Jeep, asking me if I’d consider selling it to them.  I definitely think if you have a spare car sitting around, you should sell it now and pocket the bonus.  But like selling your house, you’ll need to move somewhere afterward.  Cars

great example - the Ford GT that sold on BaT last week. the 27-mile, 2005 Ford GT would have cost somewhere around $165K when brand new (it had all four options). it sold for $395K - more than double the price they paid for it! not bad, right? who wouldn’t want to double their money on a car investment?

Not with that attitude it’s not.

A used car is an appreciable asset, but it’s not an appreciating asset.

Unless you own a Manual G8 GXP or Chevy SS.

You’re kidding, right? I’m being changed to this day by people’s reactions to my Charger due to the overwhelming popularity of the 2nd gen as a popular culture icon:

The Eclipse was the best one in that movie.

Now playing

The Dodge Challenger, Special Agent Edition.

I think the big criticism has come with the Wagoneer. While some people are stoked that the name is back adorning new cars, other people are fundamentally disappointed that this new Wagoneer isn’t the old one

4 cylinder - can be cool or shit

Here in central MA there’s hills. Lots of them. My main commute is down a stretch of Rt 9 that’s got 55MPH limit and traffic lights. usually at the bottom of hills. So its’ drive 70, stop, 0-70 uphill, stop, repeat. I’m averaging about 27-ish MPG in my 1.4T Cruze hatch. Others on the forums that live where it’s flat

Downsize turbo is great for high elevations but they don't deliver on their economy promises in my opinion, especially around town.
