They are very similar motors, although the 318 is more similar to a 340 than anything. I don't try to diss the 360 too much, as it is a good motor, but the 318 is just a lot better IMO. Seeing a built 318 makes me scream like a school girl (figuratively) just because of how uncommon it

The 318 was WAY more reliable than the 360, and lasted longer (lifetime-wise, the 318 started in the early 60s, the 360 was mid 70s, and stayed around until the early 00's when it and the 360 got phased out simultaneously).
